Our favorite Norwegian electro-hardcore aggressors just returned from a successful jaunt in New York, and are making their way to Vodka territory. Hai, the brains behind it all, told Bad Sounds:
“We just went back to New York to the Unsound Festival (originally a Polish festival concept, we also played at Unsound in Krakow in 2009). It was a very good show, alot of people. The venue was Le Poisson Rouge in Manhattan. At the 19th May we go to Russia to play at Sergey Kuryokhin International Festival (SKIF). Both Unsound and SKIF are centered around experimental and new born music, and both festivals are kind of nomadic.”
SKIF have had the likes of Zeni Geva, Otomo Yoshihide, Thurston More, Terry Riley play, as well as experimental-noise Norwegian artists like KILLL, Ultralyd, and MoHa. For more info, check out the official site on SKIF.
NEXT LIFE are currently working on their next album, slated to be more cinematic and prog-influenced then before. They also have a few show confirmed including:
23. May – Black Box Teater, Oslo
25. Oktober – Insomnia Festival, Tromsø
